Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video this week, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
